It is a process some want to complicate, but unless something goes terribly wrong it is actually quite intuitive. Pregnancy is not a disease, and a healthy birth is no more of a medical procedure than moving your bowels.
A lot of people assume that their own experiences with childbirth can be generalized into guiding principles for others. This is unadultered poppycock. Each experience is unique.
